Class Descriptions

Mindful Mornings 1.5 hrs.
Send your students off for a morning of yoga and mindfulness, free play and creative art. At the end of this class students will go to the bus stop in front of the Piermont Thrift Store. Must register in advance!


Royal Yoga 45 min.
So your little one wants to be a prince or princess…but what does that entail? Being regal means being kind, compassionate, and helpful to others. Each class consists of yoga and mindfulness practices/games, meaningful group discussions, and an arts and crafts project to tie it all together. This class is for children 3 to 8 years old.


Gamer Yoga
45 min.
Want to know the secret to being the best gamer around? Yoga and meditation breaks! Classes will be themed around whichever (non-violent) video games students are most interested in. Learn ways to clear your mind and improve posture on your mat and take these skills home to use when you game. Appropriate for children 4 to 9 years old.


Kids Night Out 2 hrs.
Kids will participate in creative play (outdoors weather permitting), practice yoga and play board games. We will also spend some time practicing our reading and/or writing skills. This is not babysitting but rather a mindfully crafted experience designed to teach developmentally appropriate social and emotional skills to kids ages 2 - 12. All head teachers for KNO are college graduates and have their First Aid/CPR certificated. Must register in advance!

Kids Mindfulness Matters 45 min.
This class primarily focuses on fostering loving-kindness, emotional awareness, healthy boundaries and mindful listening. Students will build confidence and patience, understand the significance of self-love and practice returning their attention to the present moment. The goal is to teach kids how to identify different emotions so they can respond rather than react, strengthening healthy conflict resolution skills. Mindfulness is a great tool to help kids manage and reduce stress.
