Peace in Piermont is here to help you, and your loved ones, de-stress and live in the present moment.

All are welcome here. At Peace in Piermont, we’re all family. You are never alone.

While prices are listed for our offerings, please do not ever hesitate to reach out if you’re interested in something but do not have the financial means. We believe self-care should be accessible to everyone. Email us!

Peace in Piermont is so much more than a yoga studio - it’s more like a little community or support system. The instructors, the owner and all the families we’ve met so far are all such warm and welcoming people. I had no experience with yoga, but was looking for mommy and me classes to enjoy with my baby so we decided to give it a try and I’m so glad we did! Meeting moms with children around the same age and having the opportunity to discuss our concerns or share advice has been very helpful as a first time mom.
We also discovered the music class which is an absolute bonus! My baby lights up when the music starts and stays engaged for the entire class. The song choices are all age appropriate for young children, yet still entertaining for the adults. I’m definitely looking forward to many more classes at Peace in Piermont!

What is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is our ability to be completely present and aware of where we are, and what we are doing with openness, curiosity and acceptance. Although mindfulness is innate, it can be cultivated via scientific methods, especially through seated, standing, or walking meditation.

Studies say that eight in ten Americans experience stress in their everyday lives and have a difficult time relaxing their bodies and calming their minds. This puts them at a greater risk of heart disease, stroke and various other illnesses.

Multiple studies have shown that mindfulness meditation can change the brain’s gray matter and brain regions linked with memory, the sense of self, the regulation of emotions and improved quality of sleep.

Kids yoga + Mindfulness

In our children’s yoga and mindfulness classes, students learn to connect their brain, body and breath. Throughout various games, exercises, writing activities, creative art projects and multi-sensory learning, students will:

My son and my daughter all love Katie! I do too, for that matter. She is incredibly talented in keeping the attention of the younger kids. My seven-year-old boy can be quite rambunctious, but she always has a strategy to keep him engaged and on task. I love the techniques that he comes home with, he will even initiate them on his own. Katie’s experience as a school teacher is readily apparent in how she runs her weekly mindfulness classes for the kids.

Outdoor Yoga + Mindfulness

Join us in the spring & summer for a breath of fresh air! We have a wonderful lineup of classes for the entire family! Our outdoor classes will be held on the field at the Piermont Community Center, conveniently located at 204 Hudson Terrace, Piermont, NY 10968.

Spending time outside has profound effects on physical and mental health. Outdoor yoga has shown to replenish energy and aid the immune system. Enjoy a change in scenery, stretch, and unwind in the comfort of nature.

Katie is a force. A force of love and inspiration and tenacity. I am so incredibly thankful that she had the vision and knowledge to open Peace in Piermont in our little community. We’ve done private family yoga classes with her and my boys (4, 6 and 10) all adore Camp PiP and Kids Night Out. Thank you, Katie and team PiP for creating a magical space where we can learn to find calm within ourselves. It is a true blessing and affects everything else we do.

Family Yoga + Mindfulness

Disconnect from the busy, technologically driven world around you and connect with your loved ones. Improve concentration, flexibility, coordination, and communication skills together while doing yoga, breathing, mindfulness games and more! Practicing as a family has been proven to reduce anxiety and stress, while fostering and strengthening emotional connection.

Peace in Piermont was a great place to take the kids! I took them during their week off from school and took an hour yoga class with my 3 boys (9yo, 5yo & 3yo). They were thoroughly engaged and focused & Katie is a wonderful teacher; she kept their interest in a calm, yet active manner. We all had fun doing yoga and trying new moves. I would definitely go again!

Adult Yoga + Fitness

Join us for an assortment of yoga and fitness classes curated for our adult audience. We offer early morning and evening yoga classes, as well as early morning fitness. All adult class sizes remain intimate (our maximum class size is eight people) to provide all students with ample space to learn, exercise, and breathe.

I have taken the Boot Camp class 3 times now. And each one is better than the last! Andi makes the hour go quickly, but that doesn’t mean I am not sweating the entire time! Great work out. Great vibe. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting a good sweat session that’s a lot of fun!

Kids Night Out

Take the opportunity to enjoy a dinner, sans kids, and drop them off at PiP for Kids Night out. Kids will participate in creative play, practice yoga and enjoy playing board games. We will also spend some time practicing our reading and/or writing skills.

This is not babysitting but rather a mindfully crafted experience designed to teach developmentally appropriate social and emotional skills to kids ages 3 - 12.

We just brought our kids to ‘kids night out’ and Katie and Emily were both amazing!! They took great care of our kids while we had dinner out! They went to the park, did yoga and played games. Our children loved it! We will definitely be coming back!

I started my personal meditation journey with Peace in Piermont (PIP) about five weeks ago after meditating for a couple of minutes at family yoga on Saturday mornings for several weeks. My goal was/is to become more mindful of the moment so I can enjoy/appreciate life as it is happening and learn how to be less reactive/angry about situations/feelings I experience. I meet weekly with Katie Stoeckeler in a private meditation/breathing/yoga session. Her demeanor, insight, experience, passion and ability to relate to my struggles is priceless. Katie is invested in my progress/success, not because it is her business, but because she cares and is passionate about helping me. Her passion, joy and satisfaction in my small successes are why I enjoy working with her and remain motivated to improve.

Katie realizes that there is no generic solution for each individual so she provides guidance/suggestions to me based upon our candid discussions about me and my personal journey. I am grateful that Katie is in my life and I am able to pursue my personal enrichment journey with her. I already see positive results in only five weeks so the possibilities feel endless! She has also connected with my twins who meditate with me and my wife every night before bedtime so her influence is having a positive impact on my entire family. PIP is a gift to children and adults alike and I hope others will explore programs there as I have done. My experience with PIP is always positive and easy which is another reason why my family and I keep going back.
